Villanova has promised to preserve Cabrini’s legacy and mission, keeping the name as the Cabrini campus of Villanova University. Among the efforts are a pledge to create an institute on immigration.

As incidents of antisemitism rise on U.S. college campuses in the wake of the war between Israel and Hamas, college campuses locally and nationally are wrestling with how to respond.

The multipronged action plan includes the establishment of a task force and a student advisory group to focus on the “Jewish student experience” at Penn.

The Snider program will give a $15 million matching grant. The university must raise the rest to build the new 98,108-square-foot arena, expected to cost about $32 million and open in 2026.
