GLIDDEN became the latest paint brand to announce a 2023 Color of the Year, and if you’re looking for a hue that can stand the test of time and work in a lot of different applications, this one might be for you. In fact, much like 2015 internet sensation The Dress, the team’s color experts can’t agree on what color it actually is. “The past two years have shed a new light on the importance of serenity and little moments,” said Ashley McCollum, Glidden color expert.

New year, new you? More like, new year, new hues. Dunn-Edwards is the latest paint brand to announce its 2023 color of the year and this one might have you busting out the rose-colored glasses. Part of its Life in Poetry palette, Dunn-Edwards has chosen Terra Rosa as its 2023 color of the year. The scorched-earth, approachable hue with rosy pink tones and a touch of terracotta can work as a neutral background or as an accent color.

Yankee Candle’s 2023 scent is Wonder, a combination of white florals, fruits, and clean top notes with a warm, comforting amber base that’s meant to evoke optimism, joy, and gratitude in the everyday.
